A mid 19th century miniature oak veneered Wellington chest with five graduated drawers and original lock with a new working key. Probably an "apprentice piece", a miniature item of furniture made by an apprentice, in order to demonstrate their woodworking skills to their employer.
Cleaned, re-waxed and polished. Has had some minor restoration to the veneer in places, and is again in very good condition. A very useful antique piece of furniture that can be used as a desk top item or a jewellery chest, for example.
Measurements: 33.3cm wide, 25cm deep and 47.5cm high.

  • Cleaned and restored (where necessary) to a high presentable standard. All you need to do is wipe over with a soft cloth from time to time. Occasionally use a spray furniture polish that contains bees wax, which will maintain its satin sheen. Please don’t use a silicone spray as this could be detrimental to the waxed surface.
